I hate the oversexualization of relationships that’s so rampant in fandoms. I fucking hate it. I used to participate in it but eventually just grew tired of it. I’m a pretty sexual person, but when it comes to my fandoms… I’m much more interested in the storyline and personal character development and platonic relationships than “homoerotic subtext”.
Not to mention the fetishization of gay relationships and gay males. And the queerbaiting that is common in shows that the showrunners know have a large “gay fangirl” fanbase. The fact that is is marked as a “Social Issues” panel is gross and minimizes actual social issues. The fact that your OTP is not boning is not a social issue.
